The designed development framework consists of three majorcomponents.
Component 1:
Stabilization and Early Recovery of border areas with Afghanistan. This multilateral channel will support the Government of Pakistan inrestoring infrastructure, services and livelihoods in the country’s conflict-affected border areas. This will be done by supporting:
Component 2:
Civil Society Support Facility in support of good governance, human rights and gender. This bilateral mechanism is supposed to work mainly with civil society, but it may also be possible (and desirable) to establish partnerships and support with statutory bodies.
Component 3:
Global Stabilisation Fund support. The overall focus of this component is security and the justice sector reform in Pakistan.
The development and immediate objectives of the framework followidentified strategic needs in Pakistan.
Danish interventions support the “demand side” of democracy in Pakistan, and stabilisation and livelihoods in FATA and KPK.

Gender mainstreaming is an integrated part of all of the designed programs. The gender concern will be cross cutting and aimed at promoting the protection and participation of women and girls, equitable service delivery, and gendered leadership roles and capacities of state and non-state actors.
